Fresno police arrested a juvenile suspect in connection with a planned mass stabbing at Duncan Polytechnical High School on September 11. The plot was reportedly discovered after a student alerted authorities to a concerning social media message detailing the threat.

The message, circulated among students, stated, “There is going to be a mass stabbing at Duncan High School on September 11th, this is not a joke, or a hoax.” It further explained that a friend of the suspect was planning the attack "for unknown reasons other than how he doesn’t like people," and urged recipients not to attend school that day.

The alert was passed through the student network to a parent, who then contacted the Fresno Police Department. School officials confirmed the incident originated from a threat made on social media. The Fresno Police Department and a school resource officer identified the student involved.

“A minor juvenile was booked into custody for charges related to the investigation,” a police spokesperson told The Post, adding that no further arrests are anticipated. The individual faces disciplinary action from the school district.

Duncan Polytechnical High School is part of the Fresno Unified School District and focuses on applied technology and health sciences. The school year began on August 17. The thwarted threat comes as the nation prepares to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
