Student Dies After Four-Story Fall at Los Angeles High School

A student at Benjamin Franklin High School in Los Angeles died Wednesday after falling from a fourth-story building on campus, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The fatal fall was reported around 1 p.m. Police have not released the student's name or age, identifying the individual only as a boy.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. However, police have stated that there is currently no evidence of foul play.

Aerial footage from the scene showed a shoe on the ground beneath a taped-off area, and a canopy was later erected. The campus was placed on lockdown while law enforcement responded and was expected to remain so until authorities gave an all-clear.
