A Long Island stripper has countered accusations from her former married lover, a wealthy physician, that she threatened him with a gun. Rosana Kissoon, 39, claims the photograph in question was actually a poster from the movie "Scarface," according to court documents. Kissoon has filed a $1 million lawsuit against Dr. Keith Hoerning, 51, alleging he made false claims to authorities to have her arrested after their 18-month extramarital affair concluded.
Hoerning, a family physician, had submitted a sworn restraining order application accusing Kissoon of threatening to hire "hired goons" and sending a menacing photograph of a gun. Kissoon's lawsuit asserts that the image was of a "20th Anniversary Edition poster of the actor Al Pacino holding a prop firearm" and that no actual firearm photograph was ever sent.
The dispute came to light after Kissoon sued Hoerning in Suffolk County court in July. She alleges that Hoerning attempted to use the courts and police against her after she informed his wife, Nicole Hoerning, about their affair in May.
According to the lawsuit, Hoerning provided Kissoon with "substantial financial support" and repeated declarations of love throughout their nearly two-year affair. However, Hoerning's demeanor allegedly changed by May 15, when his lawyer sent Kissoon a cease-and-desist letter. Despite this, Hoerning continued to send affectionate messages until May 26, the same day Kissoon contacted his wife. On that day, Hoerning reportedly made approximately 18 calls to Kissoon's phone.
The following day, Hoerning filed a criminal complaint against Kissoon at the Suffolk County Police Department, alleging aggravated harassment. He also submitted a family offense petition accusing Kissoon of threatening to "rip your wife’s… face off," along with other threats, including the disputed gun photo.
In his court filings, Hoerning claimed Kissoon possessed a handgun license, which led to a temporary order for her to surrender any weapons. Kissoon's lawsuit contends she never held a gun license, citing a police records query that returned a "NEGATIVE PISTOL LICENSE."
Hoerning's court documents also accused Kissoon of felony theft and attempted assault, but the lawsuit points out that no stolen items or physical attacks were specified, and that any money exchanged flowed "voluntarily" from the doctor. Hoerning's attorney has reportedly described Kissoon's lawsuit as an "extortion plot."
Nicole Hoerning, Keith Hoerning's wife and a defendant in the lawsuit, declined to comment when approached at their Greenlawn home.
