Strictly's Josh Widdicombe Faces Judge's Scrutiny Amid On-Air Banter
Craig Revel Horwood questioned comedian Josh Widdicombe's actions during a live show, while Motsi Mabuse addressed rumors of tension.
During the third week of Strictly Come Dancing, comedian Josh Widdicombe found himself the subject of a pointed question from judge Craig Revel Horwood. Revel Horwood, known for his sharp critiques, asked Widdicombe, "What are you doing?" in response to perceived unusual hand signals from the comedian during a live segment.
Widdicombe reportedly laughed off the remark, while Revel Horwood continued with his feedback for contestant Dani Dyer and her partner Nikita Kuzmin, whose Tango performance was being discussed. Viewers on social media platform X noted the awkward exchange, with some interpreting it as Revel Horwood being unimpressed with Widdicombe.
This incident follows earlier speculation about tension between Widdicombe and fellow judge Motsi Mabuse. During the show's launch, Widdicombe's jests were perceived by some viewers as interrupting Mabuse's feedback. In response to these rumors, Mabuse clarified that Widdicombe is her "friend," attempting to dispel the notion of any significant friction.
The show, which features a cast of celebrities paired with professional dancers, aims to entertain and showcase the contestants' progress in ballroom and Latin dance. Each week, judges provide critiques and scores, contributing to the overall competition. The series features a lineup of contestants including actress Lacey Turner, singer Delta Goodrem, Love Island winner Cach Mercer, Paralympian Dame Sarah Storey, and actors Bethany Antonia and Lawrence Robb, among others.
