Strictly Come Dancing Stars Share Behind-the-Scenes Moments
Dani Dyer and Jaime Winstone offer glimpses into Movie Week, with Dyer seen sharing a kiss with husband Jarrod Bowen and Winstone receiving a supportive note from her father, Ray Winstone.
Jaime Winstone narrowly avoided elimination during Movie Week on Strictly Come Dancing, finding herself in the dance-off against hairdresser Chris Appleton. The judges unanimously voted to save Winstone and her professional partner Carlos Gu, making Appleton and his partner Amy Dowden the first pair to be eliminated from the competition.
Winstone, 41, performed a Cha Cha inspired by the film 'Pretty Woman.' Despite the near-elimination, she later shared behind-the-scenes moments from the show. Among these were selfies with her professional partner Carlos Gu and photos in her 'Pretty Woman' costume. She also shared a touching message of support from her parents, actor Ray Winstone and Elaine McCausland, which read: 'Lots of love Mum and Dad, we are very proud of you, crack on kid!'
Dani Dyer, 30, was supported in the audience by her husband, footballer Jarrod Bowen, as she performed a Foxtrot to 'Beauty And The Beast.' Bowen later shared photos of them together backstage, including one of them sharing a kiss. Dyer also shared a kiss with her husband Jarrod Bowen as he shared behind-the-scenes snaps from Movie Week.
Appleton's dance to 'I'll Be Ready' from 'Baywatch' received a score of 17 points, with judges criticizing his technical ability despite a visually engaging performance. Craig Revel-Horwood noted that Appleton's upper body movements did not align with his footwork. Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke acknowledged improvement and a higher level of performance, respectively, though Du Beke also commented that the dancing itself was not quite there.
Appleton had previously expressed his struggles with nerves on the show. He drew a comparison to his best friend Kim Kardashian's experience on the US version, 'Dancing With The Stars,' where she was eliminated in 2008.
