Strictly Come Dancing Coach Denies Sex Assault Charges
A former coach who trained young dancers for the BBC's 'Strictly Come Dancing' has pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy.
Warren Bullock, 61, appeared at Cannock Magistrates' Court and denied two child sex offenses, including charges of inciting a minor to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity and intentional touching. The court heard that the alleged touching involved pinching the complainant's bottom.
Bullock, who founded the Zig Zag Dance Factory in Wolverhampton in 1994 with his wife, a former 'Strictly Come Dancing' coach, is accused of offenses occurring between 2021 and 2023. It was previously reported that Bullock trained young dancers who went on to appear on the popular BBC One show.
The couple were themselves coached by the late 'Strictly Come Dancing' personality Len Goodman.
Bullock was granted conditional bail, which includes prohibitions against contacting the alleged victim and working with anyone under the age of 18. His next hearing is scheduled for November 16 at Stafford Crown Court.
Bullock also appeared in the 2017 Netflix series 'Baby Ballroom,' which documented the competitive world of children's dance.
Staffordshire Police charged Bullock on September 15 following an investigation into allegations of sexual communication with a child.
