Michael Strahan ignited a lively discussion on Fox NFL Sunday with a bold prediction for an all-New York Super Bowl, following strong opening week performances by both the Giants and the Jets. The exuberance from Strahan, a former Giants defensive end, came after his former team defeated the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, hours after the Jets secured a victory against the Tennessee Titans.
This marks the first time since 2009 that both New York NFL franchises have begun their seasons with a 1-0 record. Strahan's optimistic forecast, declaring "We're going to the Super Bowl... And we're playing the Jets, America," drew laughter from his co-hosts, including Terry Bradshaw, Rob Gronkowski, Howie Long, and Curt Menefee.
While Bradshaw seemed to embrace the enthusiasm with a "I want some of that!", former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski offered a more measured response, labeling the prediction "a little crazy."
