The girlfriend of late reality television star Darrell Sheets has recounted the moments leading up to his death by suicide in a 911 call released in July, nearly three months after the incident. Sheets, known for his role on the A&E series Storage Wars, died in April at the age of 67.

In the audio recording obtained by TMZ, Sheets' girlfriend, whose name has not been publicly revealed, told the dispatcher she heard a gunshot after an argument with Sheets. "I think he just killed himself. Yeah. Darrell," she stated in the call. She reported being in the garage while Sheets was in his office.

Sheets' girlfriend described him as being frustrated in his final days, citing insomnia and what she referred to as "family drama." She also mentioned that he had been experiencing sleep deprivation. "I know he's been just frustrated with this no sleep and his kids. Terrible, terrible," she told the operator.

Authorities confirmed that Sheets died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A police incident report obtained by Page Six earlier in the week revealed that Sheets left behind a suicide note. In the note, he referenced "Facebook bullying" that he "couldn't take" anymore.

Sheets' autopsy report confirmed the cause of death as suicide, and his toxicology results were negative. Resources for those affected by mental health issues are available, including the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) or by texting 741741 to reach the Crisis Text Line.
