Steve Kornacki, NBC News' chief data analyst, has addressed fan concerns following his unexpected departure from an election day livestream. Kornacki, who has gained a significant following for his election coverage, left viewers worried when he ended his broadcast without explanation after more than 10 hours.

Kornacki announced on the livestream at approximately 3:26 a.m. that he needed a five-minute break. However, he did not return to the broadcast, and the "Kornacki Cam" stream concluded shortly after, leaving many viewers on social media platform X expressing concern for his well-being.

Responding to the outpouring of concern, Kornacki posted on X, "I was sure 13 hours would be fine but things caught up to me in a hurry at hour 10." He added, "I can’t say thanks enough to all of you. What a ride and I think we did make livestream history. Sorry for the abrupt ending!"

During the broadcast, footage showed Kornacki telling viewers, "I'm going to take one more break, I just need to take about five minutes, we'll be right back." The stream then ended.

Fans had taken to X to voice their worries, with comments ranging from "IS STEVE KORNACKI ALIVE? WE WANT ANSWERS" to "Hope he's okay."

Kornacki first achieved widespread popularity for his detailed breakdown of the 2020 election results, becoming a viral sensation for his on-air presence.
