Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have reached an agreement on a two-year contract extension worth $116 million. The deal, reported by ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania, includes a player option for the 2028-2029 season.
This new agreement means Curry's extension falls $20 million short of the $136.7 million maximum he was eligible to sign. Heading into the offseason, speculation had arisen that the 2026-2027 season might be Curry's last with the team, as he was entering the final year of his previous four-year, $215.3 million extension that began in 2022.
Curry has been a foundational player for the Warriors for 17 seasons, leading the franchise to four NBA championships and earning two MVP awards during his tenure.
