Stacey Solomon Unveils Lavish New Home Features
The TV presenter shared updates on her recently purchased £2 million mansion, showcasing its Grecian-style bathroom, sauna, and extensive walk-in wardrobes.
Stacey Solomon has offered her followers a detailed look at the ongoing renovations and interior design choices at her new £2 million family home in Essex. The television presenter, who recently moved with her partner Joe Swash and their children from their previous property, affectionately known as Pickle Cottage, has been documenting the transformation process.
In a recent update, Solomon showcased the expansive bathroom, which features a large central tub and walls adorned with murals. She expressed some uncertainty about the existing decor, telling fans, "I love how crazy it is but I don't know whether to keep it as a bathroom..." She also shared her feelings of being "overwhelmed" by the scale of the renovation, noting, "There is so much to do in this house and I've just got to take it slowly."
Adjacent to the bathroom, Solomon revealed a sauna and a substantial adjoining room dedicated to walk-in wardrobes. She mentioned that her three-year-old daughter, Belle, has aspirations to transform the space into a "Beauty and the Beast room."
The renovations have begun with essential structural work, including the replacement of water tanks at the top of the house. Solomon shared her plans for the home office, which includes large wardrobes and a marble fireplace. She noted that the previous owners left the wardrobes, which she plans to upcycle, and expressed curiosity about a stone feature in front of the fireplace.
Solomon also shared her intention to preserve some of the original features, such as the coving, skirting, and retro industrial light shades, which she finds appealing. She is also considering repurposing an old orange bath set she discovered during the demolition phase, rather than discarding it.
Due to the ongoing upstairs renovations, Solomon's three sons—Zachary, 18, Leighton, 14, and Rex, seven—are currently sharing a single room downstairs. Solomon observed that the boys seem to be enjoying their time together. The family has also temporarily left behind several televisions that were fitted into alcoves at Pickle Cottage, which she described as a "weird" adjustment.
Reports indicate that Solomon purchased the new £2 million mansion as the sole owner, similar to her acquisition of Pickle Cottage for £1.3 million in 2021. Sources suggest this approach aligns with her business acumen, noting that she secured a discount on the asking price. Solomon's personal net worth is estimated to be over £10 million, while Swash's is reported to be £1.5 million. The couple, who married in 2022, have not yet formally registered their marriage.
