Stacey Solomon Begins Renovations on £2 Million Essex Mansion
TV personality Stacey Solomon has shared updates on the extensive renovations underway at her new £2 million mansion in Essex.
Stacey Solomon has begun significant renovations on her recently acquired £2 million mansion in Essex, documenting the process on social media. The TV presenter, 36, has enlisted the help of her eldest son, Zach, 18, and his father to assist with the work.
Solomon shared a video showcasing the plastering of walls in Zach's en-suite bathroom, which now features a stylish black tiled shower. She noted that both Zach and his father contributed to tiling the shower. The family has also installed a temporary staircase to access the upper floors of the property.
Earlier this month, Solomon gave followers a tour of the mansion's upper level, highlighting a quirky bright orange bathroom. Inspired by this, she plans to incorporate an orange theme into another bathroom, having found a matching yellow tile. "This shower, he actually did the tiling with him and his dad together," Solomon stated, referring to her son's involvement.
Solomon, who shares sons Rex, seven, and daughters Rose and Belle, three, with husband Joe Swash, has kept the fathers of her older sons, Zach and Leighton, 14, out of the public eye. The family recently moved from their previous home, Pickle Cottage, into the larger Essex property.
The mansion boasts several notable features, including a large Grecian-style bathroom with a central tub and murals, a sauna, and extensive walk-in wardrobes. Solomon admitted to feeling overwhelmed by the scope of the renovation projects, stating, "In this house I am overwhelmed, like I don't know what to do. There is so much to do in this house and I've just got to take it slowly."
She also revealed plans for a home office space, previously utilizing a shed at Pickle Cottage. The new office features large wardrobes and a marble fireplace. Solomon expressed enthusiasm for the existing retro light shades and the architectural details, contemplating how to best restore or update them. "I almost want to center this room around the lighting that's already here," she commented.
