St. Louis Blues Condemn Antisemitic Banners at Game

The NHL's St. Louis Blues organization has issued a strong condemnation of antisemitic banners displayed by protesters during a recent game against the Vegas Golden Knights.

During the game, which took place last Thursday at the Enterprise Center, individuals unfurled banners containing anti-Israel messages, including phrases like "Free America from Israel" and "Israel kills." The banners appeared during a game that saw the Blues defeat the Golden Knights 6-2.

On Monday, Blues chairman Tom Stillman released a statement via the team's social media channels denouncing the display. "The St. Louis organization — and I personally — condemn antisemitic rhetoric in all forms," Stillman stated. "The vile messages of hate briefly displayed at our game last Thursday were unfortunate and unforgivable, and not remotely representative of our fans or our hometown.

"Antisemitism has no place in our community, and we will never allow it in our building."

The protest was reportedly organized by a group called the 2026 Freedom Convoy, which describes itself as a "grassroots, cross-country journey bringing Americans together to learn, connect, and have honest conversations about Israel and Zionist influence in the US." The demonstration drew attention away from the hockey game itself.

The Blues currently hold a 5-5-1 record on the season following their win against Vegas and a subsequent 4-0 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. They are in sixth place in the Central Division.
