St. John's Eligibility Case for Sane Delayed Until November

A Queens Supreme Court judge has delayed a decision in the eligibility lawsuit filed by St. John's athlete Babacar Sane against the NCAA. Judge Karina E. Alomar reserved her decision following a hearing on Monday, opting instead to schedule a second injunction hearing for November 9.

During the initial hearing, Alomar asked Sane's attorneys if they wished to present witnesses to further argue their case. The attorneys accepted the offer, and the NCAA did not object to the inclusion of testimony. The new hearing will allow both sides to present their arguments again, with the addition of witnesses.

Sane, a 6-foot-8 athlete, is seeking eligibility to play, and the legal proceedings will continue next month.
