Sports Illustrated model Brooke Nader has offered a unique explanation for going topless on a recent boat outing with her father: he is "half-blind."

Nader, 29, told Entertainment Tonight that her father, Breux Nader, "didn't even notice" she was wearing only white crochet bottoms during a yacht ride in Sardinia, Italy, last month. She added that her father "has selective hearing and selective seeing."

"He was like, 'I don't care,'" Nader claimed, referring to her father's reaction. She also mentioned that she grew up in an all-girls household in Louisiana, where she and her sisters were "always naked together."

Nader was on vacation with her parents, Breaux and Holland Nader, and her 24-year-old sister, Sarah Jane Nader. She described the getaway as "the time of [her] freaking life."

This incident followed earlier social media attention when Nader posted a photo of herself jumping into the ocean wearing a black dress and heels, playfully captioning it, "Are we happy now?" She was photographed during that trip in Positano, Italy, with model Jack Lumsden, and at one point, she sported only a towel while Lumsden pretended to wear her bikini top.

Nader also shared that her parents were reportedly more accepting of her wearing one-piece swimsuits, referencing her role in "Baywatch." "They're like, 'You're following the family rules,'" she told Fox News Digital in May regarding her parents' views on swimwear.

Nader has previously been noted for her appearances in sheer outfits, including a see-through black lace midi dress at a Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) event. In November 2025, she clarified to Us Weekly that most of her "many" visible wardrobe malfunctions were unintentional, attributing them to a "curse" rather than deliberate action. She also stated her aversion to using fashion tape, saying she "hate[s] being told what to do."
