The appeal of a Ring doorbell is often rooted in its ability to show who is at the door before it's opened. However, for some, this technology might offer a connection to more than just the living.

TJ Higgs, an author and medium, shared her experiences suggesting that deceased loved ones can use modern devices like Ring doorbells to make their presence known. She posits that these technological touchpoints offer spirits an accessible method for communication.

"In my 26 years as a medium, I’ve found that electricity offers spirits one of the easiest ways to get our attention," Higgs stated. She further elaborated on a personal experience where her Ring doorbell was activated at 5 a.m. on the anniversary of her grandmother's death. According to Higgs, this event, and others like it, have convinced her that death is not necessarily the end, and that spirits can indeed use technology to reach out.

Higgs believes that loved ones who have passed will use similar technological means to contact those they left behind, suggesting that such occurrences are not isolated incidents but rather a potential avenue for continued connection with the spirit world.
