Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are facing a lawsuit from a former assistant who alleges he was severely bitten by the couple's dog. The suit claims the incident occurred on November 17, 2025, at Pratt and Montag's home in Carpinteria, California.
The former assistant, Cole Gill, claims he sustained puncture wounds to his right thigh and other injuries that resulted in permanent disfigurement when the couple's Dutch Shepherd guard dog, named Ego, attacked him. According to the lawsuit, Gill was attempting to grab a credit card to run errands when the alleged attack took place.
Gill is seeking unspecified damages, including compensation for emotional and physical trauma, scar remediation treatment, counseling, and lost wages. The lawsuit cites California law, stating that dog owners are liable for damages suffered by individuals bitten by their dogs while in a public place or lawfully on private property.
Pratt, a former Los Angeles mayoral candidate, and Montag have not yet responded to requests for comment. The lawsuit was first reported by TMZ.
Separately, Pratt and Montag recently visited President Donald Trump at the White House. Pratt shared a photo of his son Gunner in the Oval Office, stating that his passion for helping the country mirrors his love for his child. Pratt's father also recently made headlines for attempting to extinguish a fire in the Palisades, an event that evoked memories of when Pratt and Montag lost their home in a wildfire, which previously prompted Pratt to run for mayor.
