Spain celebrated its 2026 FIFA World Cup victory with a parade in New York, where World Cup hero Ferran Torres was seen wearing a "Make Spain Great Again" hat, a variation of former President Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan.

Torres, who scored the decisive goal in the 106th minute against Argentina at New York New Jersey Stadium, posted a photo of himself wearing the hat during the victory celebration. The image showed him without a shirt, surrounded by celebrating fans.

Donald Trump, along with First Lady Melania Trump and FIFA president Gianni Infantino, was present at the final and presented the World Cup trophy to Spain's captain, Rodri, and the team on the field. The match, which Spain ultimately won, had been heading towards a penalty shootout before Torres's late goal.

Spain's triumph marks the second time the nation has won the FIFA World Cup, having previously secured the title in 2010. The victory parade took place in Madrid, where fans celebrated late into the night.

FIFA has indicated it will investigate altercations that occurred on the pitch between Spanish and Argentinian players immediately following the final whistle. The players are expected to return to their respective clubs in the coming months to begin their seasons.
