A Southwest Airlines flight attendant died after falling from the 24th floor of a hotel in Waikiki, Hawaii, early Thursday morning. Jenny Lupton, 50, was found near dumpsters at the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort.
The Honolulu Department of the Medical Examiner believes Lupton fell from her hotel room balcony. However, her family disputes the possibility of suicide. Lupton's sister, Tresa Lupton, stated that the family believes her death was either a "freak accident" or the result of harm inflicted by another person.
Lupton, a mother of one and a flight attendant for 23 years, was on a layover in Hawaii and had planned to return to her home in Oklahoma. Her sister mentioned that Lupton had recently enjoyed an outing with a friend and received a tattoo. The family claims they were not notified of Lupton's death until 24 hours after her body was discovered, raising concerns about the timeline and potential foul play.
Lupton's death is currently under investigation. Tributes have been shared on social media, remembering her as a vibrant individual and a supportive aunt. A Meal Train for her family has raised over $20,000.
