Florida, Texas, and Georgia have been identified as the leading states in the U.S. for individuals interested in swinging, according to a recent analysis by adult retailer LoveHoney.
The study, which aimed to pinpoint locations with active and welcoming swinger communities, evaluated each state based on nine factors. These metrics included Google search interest for related terms, the number of swingers clubs, activity on Reddit, the per capita presence of bars and hotels, and the percentage of married residents.
Florida secured the top position, primarily due to having the highest number of swingers clubs at 148, along with a robust swinger community presence on Reddit. Texas followed in second place with 93 swingers clubs, and Georgia ranked third, noted for its club availability, high search interest, and Reddit activity.
Nevada was ranked fourth, showing the highest search interest for terms such as "swingers near me" and "swinger clubs." California, while ranking sixth overall, was highlighted for having the largest swinger-related Reddit community in the country, attracting 78,000 weekly visitors and generating 6,800 weekly posts.
New York placed eighth on the list with 30 swingers clubs and approximately 9,000 weekly visitors to its associated Reddit communities. Rounding out the top 10 were Ohio and Michigan, both recognized for significant engagement within swinger-focused Reddit communities.
Conversely, Delaware was found to be at the bottom of the list, with LoveHoney unable to identify any active swinger communities on Reddit within the state.
LoveHoney advised individuals interested in swinging to research "lifestyle etiquette, consent, and local community expectations" before engaging with new communities. The company suggested consulting resources such as the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF) for information on consent and privacy, and the website Swing Lifestyle (SLS) for event listings and educational articles.
