Josephine Scott, 75, was arrested on attempted murder charges after allegedly shooting her husband in both legs during an argument on Saturday, according to the Florence County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina. Scott also faces a charge of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Authorities responded to a report of a shooting at a home on Walker Swinton Road in Timmonsville. Following an investigation, Scott was arrested for the incident. Her husband was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

An investigation revealed that the couple had been arguing prior to the shooting, though the subject of the dispute remains unclear. A mugshot released by the sheriff's office showed Scott with a breathing apparatus.

Scott was released on Monday on a $55,000 bond.
