A female employee at Siloam Christian Preschool in Easley, South Carolina, has been arrested and charged with multiple offenses related to child sex crimes. Heather Nichole Hill, 36, was taken into custody on Saturday by local police.
She faces charges of criminal solicitation of a minor and eight counts of disseminating obscene material to a person under 18. The specific details surrounding the circumstances of her arrest have not yet been released by authorities. A mugshot of Hill was published following her detention.
Hill was employed at Siloam Christian Preschool, an institution that states on its website that it provides a Christian-based education in a safe and loving environment. Following the arrest, the preschool announced that Hill's employment had been terminated.
In a statement posted on Facebook, Siloam Christian Preschool confirmed it was aware of the situation and emphasized that the safety and well-being of its students are its highest priority. The school stated that leadership, along with church officials, convened on Sunday afternoon and took immediate action to end Hill's employment. The preschool and associated church have contacted the Easley Police Department and pledged full cooperation with the ongoing investigation.
Hill was initially held at the Pickens County Detention Center on a $90,000 bond, with $10,000 allocated for each of the eight charges. She posted bond on Sunday. Her next court appearance is scheduled for October 1.
