Sophia Bush Reveals 'Brutal' Discovery of Chad Michael Murray's Infidelity
The actress details in her new memoir how a friend's absence from their wedding led to the revelation of her ex-husband's cheating.
Sophia Bush has shared the difficult circumstances surrounding her discovery of ex-husband Chad Michael Murray's infidelity, describing it as a "brutal" in her newly released memoir, "And I Will Tell You Mine."
Bush, 44, became suspicious of Murray's fidelity when one of his close friends failed to attend their 2005 wedding ceremony. She wrote in her book that the friend's unexplained absence the night before the wedding had always troubled her.
Months after the wedding, while Murray was away filming, Bush contacted the friend. According to her account, the friend confessed and revealed details about "plenty of girls" Murray had been involved with, including individuals Bush knew and others she did not.
"The number and the details are not important now. But at the time, they were shocking," Bush wrote. "Unimaginable, really. And brutal."
Bush and Murray, 45, met in 2003 while filming the television series "One Tree Hill." They married in April 2005, but separated just five months later amid rumors of infidelity. Bush filed for an annulment citing fraud, which was denied, and their divorce was finalized in December 2006.
Bush has since married former soccer star Ashlyn Harris. Murray is married to actress Sarah Roemer, with whom he has three children.
