Sonya Curry, mother of NBA stars Steph and Seth Curry, has remarried. She shared the news of her wedding on Instagram, stating she married "the most amazing man" this summer.
Curry's new marriage comes five years after she filed for divorce from Dell Curry, her husband of 33 years. The couple, who are parents to Steph, Seth, and daughter Sydel, divorced in 2021 amidst accusations of infidelity from both sides.
Details about Sonya Curry's new husband were not disclosed. She shared that their wedding was planned in nine weeks and took place at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess resort. In her Instagram post, she described her new union as a testament to answered prayers and a "perfect help mate."
Sonya Curry and Dell Curry met as student-athletes at Virginia Tech. Dell Curry played in the NBA from 1986 to 2002 and retired as the Charlotte Hornets' all-time leader in points and three-pointers made. He now works as a commentator and analyst for Hornets broadcasts.
