Sonja Morgan Accuses 'Golden Life' Castmates of 'Bullying' Off-Camera

Sonja Morgan, a cast member of the upcoming reality series "The Golden Life," has accused her co-stars of "bullying" her off-camera, alleging they attempt to uncover information that can be used against her during filming.

"They’re usually sleuthing around to get something on me," Morgan told Page Six at the 2026 “Virtual Reali-Tea” Awards. "They’re constantly trying to get info that they can throw up on the show, instead of just being themselves and acting like themselves, and not be higher than mighty."

Morgan’s comments come after castmate Luann de Lesseps claimed on "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th" that Morgan only attends events if offered significant compensation. Morgan refuted this, stating that her castmates often have ulterior motives when interacting with her outside of filming.

"When I’m not filming, I’m pretty much up to here with the girls who do that," Morgan said. "Sometimes, I feel like the girls just call me because they want to go where I’m going, or know what I’m knowing, and it doesn’t go that way."

While Morgan did not name specific cast members, she alluded to behind-the-scenes tensions during her acceptance speech for the Golden Kettle Award, where she praised the New York Post for fact-checking, stating, "unlike some of [her] co-stars."

"The Golden Life," featuring Morgan, de Lesseps, Kelly Bensimon, Ramona Singer, and Dorinda Medley, is set to premiere on E! on October 20. The series marks the first on-screen reunion for the former "Real Housewives of New York City" cast since "Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy" in 2023. The cast was honored with the Golden Kettle Award for their contributions to unscripted television at the VRT Awards.

The original "Real Housewives of New York City" cast, dubbed the "OGs," starred in the series from its inception in 2008 until 2021. Following Season 14, Bravo opted to recast the show. "The Golden Life" was developed by E! after initial rumors of a Bravo spinoff did not materialize. The show will follow the cast's lives in Palm Beach, Florida. Additional episodes were filmed in the Hamptons, with Margaret Josephs from "Real Housewives of New Jersey" and Candace Bushnell, author of "Sex and the City," joining the cast.
