Sofía Vergara Shares Cryptic Posts About 'Narcissistic Men' After Ex Joe Manganiello's Memoir Revelations

Sofía Vergara has shared a series of pointed social media posts, seemingly alluding to "narcissistic men," following revelations from her ex-husband Joe Manganiello's upcoming memoir. Manganiello's book, "Bloodlines," reportedly details alleged difficulties within their marriage, including claims that Vergara "ridiculed" him during a severe health battle and refused physical affection.

Vergara's son, Manolo, initially shared an Instagram Story that discussed "dealing with a narcissist" and contrasted their traits with those of "good men." The post stated that narcissists "resent you for it and nothing will ever be enough and they’ll always somehow try to paint you as the bad guy." The graphic also described narcissists as "crav[ing] superiority" and acting "like Peter Pan."

Another re-shared post from Vergara discussed the "ability to laugh at oneself" as a sign of "the highest form of intelligence," while the "inability" to do so is indicative of "dealing with an idiot." This sentiment was previously shared by Tom Brady, with Vergara adding clapping emojis to co-sign the message.

Manganiello's memoir, set to be released on October 13, details his seven-year battle with an autoimmune disease that he claims was life-threatening. He alleges that the marriage was "devoid of any emotionality whatsoever" by its end and that Vergara refused to hug him even when he begged for one. He also claims Vergara "ridiculed" him for adopting a dog during a difficult period in 2019.

In an earlier interview with Men's Journal, Vergara stated that the couple's separation in 2023 was due to Manganiello's desire to have children, a step she felt was not suitable for her at her age. She mentioned not wanting to be an "old mom" and that it wouldn't be fair to the baby.

Manganiello, however, clarified in his memoir that they had stopped IVF treatments due to his health issues, expressing concern about leaving a child who was not biologically his with Vergara if he were to pass away. The actor also stated that he decided to write the book to set the record straight, as "there were things said and printed about [him] that were false."

Manganiello and Vergara married in November 2015 and finalized their divorce in February 2024. Manganiello is now engaged to Caitlin O’Connor, and Vergara is reportedly in a relationship with jewelry executive Douglas Chabbott.
