Sydney's social elite gathered for Bernadette Sukkar's Y2K-themed birthday celebration, but the event was marked by notable absences and a guest whose appearance seemed to disappear from party photos.
Eyebrow queen Kristin Fisher and nude artist Dina Broadhurst were conspicuously absent from the festivities. Broadhurst, a regular at Sukkar's Body by Berner Pilates studio, was expected to attend. She recently returned to Sydney after a relationship breakdown in Ibiza. Fisher's absence also raised questions, given Sukkar's attendance at Fisher's 40th birthday celebration the previous September.
The party, held at Archie Brothers in Alexandria, featured a Y2K theme, with Sukkar herself embracing the era in a baby blue Juicy Couture tracksuit, later transitioning to a cropped top, tiny shorts, and knee-high boots. Other attendees included Deborah Symond O'Neil, Montarna McDonald, Caroline Tran, and Michael Lo Sordo.
Amid the social media posts from the event, another guest, Poppy Tzaneros, appeared to have vanished from the party photographs despite being photographed arriving with her husband, Anthony. Tzaneros sported a Y2K-inspired outfit, including a Pucci shirt and Amina Muaddi heels, while her husband opted for a more casual ensemble. Their more subdued presence comes at a time when the Tzaneros family business, ACFS Port Logistics, is undergoing voluntary administration with significant debts.
Neither Fisher nor Broadhurst responded to requests for comment regarding their absences. The reported scrutiny surrounding the Tzaneros family's business affairs may have contributed to their decision to maintain a lower profile at the event.
