Soccer League Director Called Police on Mother of 3-Year-Old Prodigy

A youth soccer league director called the police to a game in Winter Park, Florida, on Saturday, citing the "unruly" behavior of a mother whose three-year-old son was allegedly deemed "too good" by other parents. Newly released 911 dispatch audio captures the director, Jul Henry, expressing urgency.

"Can you have someone quickly get here? Because they're about to leave here in 10 minutes," Henry said, according to audio heard by The Daily Mail. "This needs to be like a rush." He further requested that the mother be removed from the property immediately.

Officers arrived at the scene and were asked by the director to communicate with the family, as he "did not want to further a disturbance," a news release from the Winter Park Police Department stated. The family of the toddler, identified as Nevada, was reportedly cooperative and informed officers that the game had concluded and they were departing. Police advised the parents that any disputes over league fee refunds would be considered a civil matter. No arrests were made, and officers did not compel anyone to leave the park.

Earlier footage from the game showed the three-year-old Nevada displaying advanced soccer skills. Following the incident, the boy's family shared a screenshot of what appeared to be an email from i9 Sports, indicating a refund had been processed for the "2026 Fall League," suggesting the child had been removed from the league.

The youth sports organization, i9 Sports, released a statement acknowledging the concerns. "We are aware of concerns being shared regarding an incident at a local i9 Sports program, and we take them very seriously," the statement read. "The respectful treatment and well-being of every child and family matter deeply to us. We have reached out to the family and have begun a review that includes speaking with those involved."

The incident gained widespread attention on social media after a video of Nevada playing went viral. The boy's father, who has a significant following on TikTok, alleged that other parents complained because his son was not passing to teammates during the match. The viral nature of the event prompted reactions from public figures, including children's influencer Ms. Rachel, who expressed dismay and offered Nevada a spot on her show.
