Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, 38, has undergone a hysterectomy as part of her treatment for cervical cancer. The reality television personality shared an emotional video on Instagram detailing the experience, describing it as 'painful' and 'very scary.'

In the video, Polizzi documented her journey from arriving at the hospital with her parents to her recovery after the surgery. She candidly discussed the pain and anxiety associated with the procedure, admitting that she is "not good with pain" and that the initial days were "hell."

"Sorry it's just been a lot," she said in the video, her voice breaking. "Dealing with all that pain, it's not great but I'm doing my best and I'm trying to stay optimistic."

Polizzi explained that her surgeon successfully removed her uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, and parts of her vagina, but kept her ovaries to prevent premature menopause. The surgery involved a C-section cut to ensure all cancerous cells were removed, a decision that led to a more difficult recovery compared to laparoscopic methods.

She revealed her stage I cervical cancer diagnosis in February, having learned about it after a biopsy. At the time, she noted that the oncologist offered chemotherapy, radiation, or a hysterectomy, and she opted for the surgery as the "smart choice."

Polizzi, a mother of three, shared her fears before the operation, detailing how she was "literally terrified" and "hysterically bawling" as she was checked in. She expressed gratitude for the comforting nurses and doctors. Despite the difficult experience, she later stated she felt "very proud of myself."

The post garnered supportive messages from former co-stars and celebrities, including Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola and DJ Pauly D, as well as singer Meghan Trainor, who called her a "supermom."
