Slow Horses Team Faces Obstacles in Bowling Alley Mission

In an exclusive clip from the upcoming episode of "Slow Horses" Season 6, titled "Lost and Found," agents River (Jack Lowden) and Sid (Olivia Cooke) encounter significant resistance while attempting to use a payphone at a Nova Bowl bowling alley. The scene unfolds as the duo, pursued by assassins, desperately seeks to contact MI-5.

The clip showcases the distinctive atmosphere of the bowling alley, with its neon lights and arcade ambiance, set to the 1985 hit "Take On Me." Despite their urgency, they are met by a stubborn cashier named Phil (Leon Annor), who initially refuses them access to the payphone.

River's attempt to bribe Phil with cash is humorously rebuffed, leading Phil to question if it was an attempted bribe. Sid then attempts to de-escalate the situation by offering to rent a lane in exchange for the phone call. However, Phil explains that the system is electronically locked after closing, rendering the payphone inaccessible. He states, "It’s out of my hands, mate. The register locks electronically at close. And after that, no man born from his mother can open it."

To overcome this obstacle, Sid fabricates a story about a missing, mentally unwell brother, complete with convincing tears. This ruse, combined with River's intense eye contact with Phil, eventually leads to them gaining access to the payphone.

The episode synopsis indicates that while Lamb investigates another character, Frank, River, Sid, and Coe are actively evading a hit squad. The clip highlights the series' blend of dark humor and high-stakes espionage, as well as the chemistry between the lead actors.

New episodes of "Slow Horses" Season 6 premiere on Apple TV+ on Wednesdays. The official synopsis for Season 6, Episode 4, "Lost and Found," states that Lamb is trying to figure out who Frank is working for, while Sid, River, and Coe do everything to evade the hit squad.
