Slickhair Founder Mia Plecic Disputes Court-Ordered Debt After TikTok Shaming
Influencer Mia Plecic, founder of haircare brand SLICKHAIR, is embroiled in a dispute over an unpaid invoice after a talent agency owner publicly shamed her on TikTok.
Slickhair founder Mia Plecic has pushed back against a court-ordered debt of nearly $5,000, following public shaming by a Melbourne talent agency owner on TikTok. The agency owner, Jasmine Yoong, founder of Envision Agency, successfully took Plecic to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) and was awarded $4,946.42.
Despite the VCAT ruling, the invoice remained unpaid. In response, Yoong reportedly resorted to publicly outing Plecic and her brand on TikTok. When contacted by the Daily Mail, Plecic reportedly reacted with anger.
Plecic, 34, is the owner of SLICKHAIR, a company known for haircare products including the 'Slick Stick.' The dispute stems from a Mother's Day marketing campaign that Plecic commissioned Envision Agency to develop last year. According to reports, after the campaign was filmed, Plecic expressed dissatisfaction with the final results and subsequently refused to settle the outstanding payment.
