Influencer Skye Wheatley has decided to sell her Spanish-inspired Gold Coast mansion, known as Casa Grande, which she purchased in 2019 for $975,000. Wheatley announced the decision on Instagram Stories, stating that the financial burden of the property has become too much to manage.

The property, which Wheatley had been renovating since its purchase and described as a "f***ing disaster," remains unfinished after a prolonged renovation saga marked by budget blowouts, emotional stress, and construction delays. The house is now being put on the market, with Wheatley aiming for a private sale and intending to manage the marketing herself.

Wheatley expressed frustration with her ex-partner, Lachlan Waugh, suggesting he is not handling their separation maturely. "Men just go out and f**k new girls and do whatever they do and distract themselves with someone else," she stated, calling such behavior "weak." Wheatley emphasized the importance of processing emotions during difficult times, contrasting it with what she perceives as Waugh's avoidance.

Waugh has not publicly commented on a new relationship. Wheatley and Waugh, who have two sons together, Forest and Bear, have had a tumultuous eight-year relationship with several previous breaks. Their last public split occurred in October 2025, during which they were co-parenting. Wheatley cited the combined stress of work, children, renovation, and running a business as contributing factors to their relationship difficulties.

Wheatley has moved in with her mother as she navigates the sale of the mansion and rebuilds her life. She noted the potential of the unfinished property for various uses, such as a wedding venue, photo shoot location, or a fixer-upper for builders or Airbnb hosts. Despite her emotional attachment, she feels "sick of the emotional s**t" that has hindered the renovation.

This period of personal upheaval follows a recent legal issue for Wheatley, who was charged with being in charge of a motor vehicle while over the alcohol limit in August. She pleaded guilty, received a five-month driving ban, and was fined $700. Wheatley clarified that she was not driving at the time of the charge and has since completed a Queensland Traffic Offenders Program and is attending therapy.
