Brandon Fugal, the owner of Utah's Skinwalker Ranch, has claimed that his team has extracted manufactured material from hundreds of feet within the property's rocky mesa. The discoveries include heat-resistant ceramic fragments and unusual metals, according to statements made on the "American Alchemy" podcast.

Fugal stated that drilling equipment repeatedly encountered a mysterious underground object before retrieving materials that did not appear to be part of the natural landscape. "There's something under the mesa," Fugal said. "To be extracting material that is manufactured, that's engineered, from hundreds of feet within the mesa."

The ranch, a 512-acre property in northeastern Utah, has been a focal point for paranormal investigations for over three decades. It is known for alleged sightings of UFOs, encounters with strange creatures, unexplained illnesses, and equipment failures.

Fugal, a real estate developer, purchased the ranch in 2016 and has since operated it as an outdoor laboratory. Researchers began drilling into the mesa in 2021 after ground-penetrating radar indicated potential voids and an unusual underground formation. The initial aim was to investigate long-standing rumors of concealed caves, tunnels, or artificial structures.

Instead, Fugal claimed, the team found a debris field with material inconsistent with the area's natural soil and rocks. "It is unusual and not a natural part of the landscape or soil composition, which has been verified," he said. The team also reported detecting possible underground voids.

Recovered samples reportedly included fragments resembling heat-resistant ceramic tiles used on spacecraft. Fugal also mentioned that some samples exhibited electromagnetic signatures that appeared to self-restore after disruption, though technical details were not provided. The elements europium and thallium were also reportedly identified in the material. Both elements occur naturally but are also used in manufacturing.

Drilling crews allegedly experienced significant equipment malfunctions, with durable tungsten carbide steel drill bits being damaged or rendered unusable. Fugal described the excavation process as delicate, comparing it to a medical biopsy to avoid damaging any potential discoveries.

The mystery was further compounded by the recovery of a weathered nickel dated 1964 from within the formation. An archaeologist reportedly suggested that such coins are sometimes left at excavation sites to mark when work occurred. Fugal believes this indicates potential activity at the site decades before its paranormal fame.

An examination of historical aerial photographs revealed missing records between 1964 and 1969, with a section of a 1969 image appearing blurred or smoothed over in a teardrop shape above the area of the detected underground anomaly. Historical aerial photo anomaly

Fugal stopped short of confirming the presence of a buried UFO, noting that an underground object would not technically be considered "flying." The team has also reported mapping an invisible, spherical anomaly they call the "bubble" after experiencing GPS failures and signal interference on the ranch. Multiple cameras have also captured unexplained masses above the ranch's "Triangle" area during experiments.

Critics point out that much of the evidence has been presented through a television series rather than peer-reviewed scientific studies, and that damaged equipment or radar readings could have conventional explanations. Fugal, however, maintains the investigation is data-driven and welcomes scrutiny. Skinwalker Ranch general view
