Six-Year-Old Boy Dies in Crash, Man Arrested

A six-year-old boy has died after a collision involving a vehicle and a child in Llanfairfechan, Conwy. Police were called to the scene on Thursday evening at just after 5:00 PM BST.

The child was pronounced dead at the scene. A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. The boy's family is being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.

Multiple roads in the vicinity, including Pen-Y-Bryn Road and Bryn Road, were temporarily closed as authorities responded. Residents were advised to avoid the area.

Detective Inspector Tim Evans stated, "Our thoughts are with the young boy's family and friends at this extremely difficult time." An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing, and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
