Six Dead, Including Child, in Wisconsin Plane Crash

A small plane crashed in a densely wooded area in Dellona, Wisconsin, on Tuesday evening, killing all six people on board, including a child. The Sauk County Sheriff's Office received notification of a potential crash around 9:30 p.m. local time.

First responders located the aircraft in a heavily wooded location and began a search for its occupants. Authorities confirmed that five adults and one child were aboard the fixed-wing Piper, and all were pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

The aircraft had departed from Kenosha and was en route to Menomonie, a journey of approximately 360 miles. Officials stated that the plane had been in contact with a nearby traffic control tower shortly before the crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified and will lead the investigation into the cause of the incident. Authorities are examining whether weather conditions may have played a role in the fatal crash.
