Two sisters have pleaded not guilty to charges of stalking a man and causing him fear of violence, after allegedly blaming him for their father's death. Mercedes Green, 20, and Tuesday Green, 36, are accused of harassing Andrew Carroll at his West Hampstead flat between October and December 2025.
Their father, John Green, a window cleaner who had lived in West Hampstead for decades, died shortly before his 65th birthday on October 17, 2025. An inquest at St Pancras Coroner's Court in March determined he passed away from natural causes, specifically ischaemic heart disease and cardiomegaly.
Despite the coroner's findings, the sisters allegedly accused Mr. Carroll of causing their father's death. During the alleged two-month stalking campaign, the sisters are accused of escalating their actions, which included sending a card, photographs, and a wreath, before leaving a severed pig's head on Mr. Carroll's car.
Prosecutor Annabel Allum told Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court that the alleged incidents began with photos and progressed to a wreath and finally the pig's head on the vehicle. On November 5, 2025, the sisters allegedly sent a card to Mr. Carroll stating: "Murderer he is dead because of you. You didn't just drug him. You killed him. How do you sleep at night? You are a vile human being. It should have been you who died."
Separately, Tuesday Green also denied making threats to kill Mr. Carroll on November 24, 2025. The sisters also allegedly threw a brick through a neighbor's window.
On November 12, 2025, the sisters reportedly sent 64 photos of their deceased father, obtained from a newspaper obituary, to Mr. Carroll. By November 22, a wreath with the message "Never forget" was allegedly sent to him.
The most recent incident detailed in court occurred on December 3, 2025, when the severed pig's head was allegedly left on Mr. Carroll's car.
Mercedes and Tuesday Green, who reside in Clerkenwell, have both denied one charge of stalking causing fear of violence. They were released on bail with conditions preventing them from contacting Mr. Carroll or attending his flat. Their plea and trial preparation hearing is scheduled for Wood Green Crown Court on October 13.
