Rookie offensive guard Sisi Mauigoa's debut for the New York Giants was notable for what did not happen: he allowed zero pressures and zero quarterback hits in 36 pass-blocking snaps. Mauigoa played all 69 offensive snaps in the Giants' 28-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, a performance that aligns with the team's expectations when they selected him with the 10th overall pick in the draft.

The entire offensive line was a strength in the game, contributing to an average of 4.5 yards per carry on 37 rushing attempts. Running back Cam Skattebo led the ground game with 81 yards on 18 carries. Head coach John Harbaugh praised the team's tempo and energy, highlighting Skattebo's effective play and the overall execution of the game plan.

Wide receiver Malik Nabers, returning from ACL surgery, was on a pitch count, playing 36 snaps, or 52 percent of the offensive workload. He was targeted nine times, a team high, and recorded six receptions for 69 yards.

At wide receiver, rookie Malachi Fields saw significant action, leading the group with 50 snaps and catching two passes for 25 yards. Darnell Mooney had 39 snaps with two receptions for 27 yards on his only two targets. Odell Beckham Jr. and Braxton Berrios had quiet outings, with neither being targeted in their limited snaps.

Harbaugh also addressed an unusual pregame moment where he tackled Nabers during a walk-through. He explained it was a lighthearted attempt to show Nabers he was fully recovered and capable of taking a hit, a maneuver he has occasionally employed with players.

However, Harbaugh expressed dissatisfaction with the team's ball security, noting four fumbles (though only one was lost). He stated that this aspect of their play "has got to change" and is "not even close to being acceptable." In roster moves, the Giants signed running back Phil Mafah to the practice squad and waived wide receiver Dalen Cambre. Mafah was a seventh-round pick of the Cowboys in 2025.
