Simone Ashley and Jodie Turner-Smith Attend Bentley Electric Car Launch Party
Actresses Simone Ashley and Jodie Turner-Smith were among the notable attendees at the Bentley Torcal launch party in London.
London Fashion Week may have concluded, but actresses Simone Ashley and Jodie Turner-Smith brought a touch of glamour to the capital as they attended the launch party for Bentley's first electric car, the Bentley Torcal, on Tuesday.
Ashley, known for her role in the Netflix series "Bridgerton," arrived in a shimmering £1,190 16Arlington champagne gown. The dress featured a halterneck and an elegant silhouette. Turner-Smith opted for a striking ensemble, wearing a bold black and red striped coat paired with heeled black leather boots.
The event, held at 180 Studios, celebrated the release of Bentley's new electric vehicle. The evening's menu was curated by Chef Florence Knight, with drinks provided by Billecart-Salmon. The music for the night was provided by Femi Koleoso, drummer for the Ezra Collective, and DJ Zezi Ifore.
Ashley, who also starred in "The Devil Wears Prada 2" earlier this year, recently expressed openness to playing a Bond Girl if offered the opportunity. In an interview with ELLE UK, she stated her interest in more movie roles and finding a compelling television series, potentially in the action or fantasy genres.
"I would, yeah. If it happens, it happens! I'm not going to talk about it," Ashley said regarding a potential Bond role. "I definitely want to do more movies and find a really delicious TV show to get into. I'd love to do an action movie. Something fantasy, maybe."
Ashley also shared her personal aspirations, indicating a desire to start a family and find a life partner. "I definitely want to have my own family and I'd love to find my person," she stated. "I have all my dreams and ambitions for my career and that will live on, and I trust that when the time is right the other parts of my personal life will find their way, too. I don't put pressure on anything. I believe in the right person at the right time – someone who's kind and has similar ambitions and dreams."
Reflecting on her "Bridgerton" role as Kate Sharma, Ashley acknowledged its significant impact on her career. "It changed my life and, without it, I wouldn't be where I am," she said. "That show reached near and far. Even in the places you don't think you'll get recognised, you do."
Other attendees at the Bentley event included Jodie Kidd and "Love Island" winner Lorenzo Alessi.
