The Apple TV+ science fiction series "Silo" has been renewed for a fourth and final season, with its premiere date set for July 9, 2027. This announcement comes as the series, based on Hugh Howey's New York Times bestselling trilogy of dystopian novels, prepares to tell a complete story.
Season 3 concluded with its tenth episode, titled "Troy." This finale left viewers with significant cliffhangers regarding the fates of characters like Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) and Daniel/Troy (Ashley Zukerman). The season consisted of a total of 10 episodes, aligning with the episode count of its predecessors.
Apple TV+ had previously renewed "Silo" for both its third and fourth seasons midway through the second season. Star and executive producer Rebecca Ferguson expressed enthusiasm for completing the narrative arc. "I have always felt passionately about telling the entire story contained within Hugh Howey’s books, so I couldn’t be happier that audiences around the world have enthusiastically embraced the show," Ferguson stated.
Production for Season 4 was filmed back-to-back with Season 3, and its filming has already concluded. This dual production schedule allowed for an anticipated release in 2027. "Silo" can be streamed on Apple TV, which offers a seven-day free trial for new subscribers and a single ad-free plan at $14.99 per month. A bundle including Apple TV and Peacock is also available starting at $14.99 per month.
A teaser trailer for "Silo" Season 4 has been released, offering glimpses into the past with Helen in Silo 18 and showing Sheriff Billings revealing truths about Silo 1 to its residents in the present. The trailer also features a confrontation between Daniel and Juliette.
Ashley Zukerman, who plays Daniel/Troy, has also discussed the Season 3 finale and offered insights into what fans can expect in the upcoming final season. For those seeking further potential plot details, the third book in Hugh Howey's series, "Dust," may offer clues, although showrunner Jessica Yost has indicated that significant alterations and additions to the storylines are being made for the series.
