Sienna Miller Shares Details of Surprise Central Park Proposal
Actress Sienna Miller revealed on 'The Tonight Show' that her fiancé Oli Green proposed during a casual walk shortly after the birth of their second child.
Sienna Miller has shared intimate details about her engagement to fiancé Oli Green, recounting the surprise proposal that occurred during a walk in Central Park. The actress revealed on 'The Tonight Show' with Jimmy Fallon that Green proposed just three weeks after she gave birth to their second child.
The couple, who confirmed their engagement in June after four years of dating, were visiting Central Park when Green popped the question. Miller, 44, admitted that she was caught completely off guard, sporting what she described as “full postpartum beauty” with greasy hair and a stained T-shirt.
"I was not looking my best," Miller laughed, recalling her initial reaction to Green’s unusual demeanor during their walk. "Please God, not now," she thought, sensing something was about to happen. Despite her less-than-glamorous appearance, Miller eventually realized the significance of the moment.
Miller also shared the serendipitous story of how she and Green first met. "When we met, we didn't get together. And then seven years later at the same Halloween party, it was where we first smooched," she explained to Fallon.
This recent revelation comes as Miller reflects on her experiences with motherhood. She previously told Vogue that she had wanted another baby for a long time and felt euphoric and relieved when her third child arrived, as she had made peace with having only one child by age 40.
Her first postpartum experience after having her eldest daughter, Marlowe, with ex Tom Sturridge, was challenging. Miller underwent an emergency C-section with Marlowe and felt disappointed and like she had failed due to a difficult postpartum period. For her third child, she aimed for a natural labor after two previous C-sections, a goal she achieved with the help of Dr. Gowri Motha and the Gentle Birth Method, which combines self-hypnosis, visualization, and Ayurvedic teachings.
Despite her preparations for a more positive postpartum experience, Miller admitted that returning to work so soon after welcoming her third child was too much. "It was all too much. I thought I could manage it, but it was just complicated and hard," she stated. Miller announced the arrival of her third child in May, simply stating, "It's happened. I have a tiny baby next door."
