Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge Redefine Co-Parenting as Exes Navigate Engagements

Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge, who share a 14-year-old daughter, Marlowe, have cultivated a unique approach to blended family life following their 2015 split. Rather than experiencing traditional acrimony, the actors have maintained a close friendship and are actively involved in each other's new relationships.

Sturridge recently confirmed his engagement to Alexa Chung, who is a close friend of Miller's. Meanwhile, Miller is engaged to actor Oli Green. The unconventional family dynamic was publicly evident when Miller, Sturridge, Green, and Chung were photographed together at Wimbledon in 2022, even sharing group selfies. Miller has described their shared family dinners as "very loving and cozy and great."

Miller and Sturridge were together from 2011 to 2015, getting engaged and welcoming their daughter before their separation. Despite the breakup, they have remained close, often walking dogs together and living in close proximity to facilitate co-parenting. In a 2023 Vogue interview, Miller noted that while there isn't a formal custody structure, "We make it work. It's not conventional."

Following their split, Miller and Sturridge pursued other relationships. Miller was engaged to Lucas Zwirner and had a brief romance with Archie Keswick. Sturridge was linked with Georgina Huddart and Maya Hawke.

During the pandemic, Miller recalled a period where she, her then-boyfriend, Sturridge, and Sturridge's then-girlfriend lived together in Upstate New York to co-parent Marlowe. She described the situation as "definitely eccentric," humorously noting that "the wheels came off and everything went horribly wrong... It will make a fantastic play."

Miller began dating her now fiancé, Oli Green, in 2021 after meeting at a mutual friend's Halloween party. The following year, Sturridge confirmed his relationship with Alexa Chung at a Vanity Fair party. Miller expressed her happiness for the couple, stating, "I'm really happy for them. It's genuinely lovely."

Miller has also joked about Marlowe's relationship with Chung, humorously noting that her daughter sometimes borrows Chung's jumpers. In a recent interview with The Observer, Miller referred to Chung as her daughter's "stepmum" and praised her social media skills.

Chung's engagement to Sturridge, after four years together, was recently confirmed. This marks Chung's first public acknowledgment of the engagement, which had been rumored since June 2023. The couple has made occasional public appearances, including at the Met Gala in May.

In a 2018 interview, Chung had expressed skepticism about marriage, stating she didn't understand its significance over non-marriage and didn't necessarily need a wedding day. However, Sturridge proposed with what has been described as a "haunted" Tudor ring, and the couple is reportedly planning an intimate wedding.
