Sid Rosenberg 'Charmed' JD Vance at White House Meeting to Address Conservative Jewish Concerns

Radio host Sid Rosenberg stated he "charmed" Vice President JD Vance during a White House meeting on Thursday, an encounter aimed at reconciling with Jewish conservatives following Rosenberg's recent criticism of the vice president's stance on Israel.

Rosenberg, speaking on X, described his discussion with Vance as enjoyable and lasting nearly half an hour, providing an opportunity to get acquainted. He also met with President Trump in the Oval Office.

Later, on the 77 WABC radio show "Cats & Cosby," Rosenberg reported that he and Vance "hit it off" and anticipated future meetings on significant matters. He humorously remarked that he did most of the talking and Vance spent most of the time laughing.

Prior to the meeting, Rosenberg had informed Politico that he intended to raise questions regarding Vance's association with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and U.S. aid to Israel. Rosenberg also indicated that Vance had requested the sit-down.

A source close to the New York Jewish community expressed that Vance, widely considered a potential 2028 Republican nominee, needs to address potential concerns from the conservative Jewish vote. This source identified Vance's past comments on the U.S.-Israel relationship and his friendship with Carlson as points of hesitation for donors and influential leaders.

Rosenberg has previously suggested that Vance might need to distance himself from Carlson, whose commentary has been critical of the U.S.-Israel alliance. These remarks come after Vance spoke at the Republican Jewish Coalition's annual leadership summit, where Rosenberg publicly critiqued Vance's statements.

"My honest assessment of Vice President Vance tonight? He was not strong enough on Israel. In fact, he referred to Israel as ONE of our best allies. One of?" Rosenberg posted on X in August 2026. He also criticized Vance for defending Joe Rogan over discussions with controversial figures and for attributing antisemitism to immigration.

Rosenberg reiterated his preference for Secretary of State Marco Rubio as a potential 2028 presidential candidate but expressed optimism about working with Vance. "I leave this meeting today, one of many between me and the vice president, I guarantee it, and I leave this meeting today feeling like I can work with this guy," Rosenberg said. "We can work with this guy, and he is willing to listen and he’s aware, and I don’t think by any stretch that JD Vance hates Israel."
