Si King Praises Ex-Wife Amid New Romance, Reflects on Amicable Divorce

Hairy Bikers star Si King has spoken highly of his ex-wife Jane, describing her as a "fabulous woman" and "great mate," just days after confirming a new romance. King revealed he has found love with a new partner, Milly, two years after the death of his Hairy Bikers co-star Dave Myers.

King and Jane, who share three sons—Alex, James, and Dylan—divorced in 2016 after 27 years of marriage. They cited the demanding career and frequent absences as contributing factors to their separation. Reflecting on the divorce in a recent appearance on Davina McCall's "Begin Again" podcast, King emphasized the amicable nature of their split.

"Jane and I are great great mates and I adore her. She's a fabulous woman," King stated. He explained that the divorce was not driven by extreme pain for either party, but rather a mutual desire to remain amicable for their children. King acknowledged that Jane was "more emotionally mature" during the process, adding that achieving an amicable divorce "just takes time."

He elaborated on the nature of divorce, drawing parallels to marriage, and highlighted the importance of compromise, understanding one's own role in the breakdown, and approaching the situation with maturity. "It takes two to tango and it's never anybody's fault," he said.

King also reflected on the enduring nature of love, suggesting that while it may change form, it doesn't necessarily break. He spoke of being "incredibly lucky" to have experienced love, both in his past marriage and in his current relationship, and stressed the importance of treating those past connections with respect as they shape one's journey.

His new relationship with Milly Witcomb, a Staffordshire-based designer and property manager, was revealed last week. King described Witcomb, who is three years his senior, as a "very special lady" and expressed happiness in their relationship, noting that his sons and ex-wife Jane also approve.

Milly Witcomb has also spoken about their relationship, telling the Daily Mail that they are "very happy together" and have been seeing each other for "quite a while." She characterized King as someone "loved by everyone" and "lovely."

The couple has reportedly enjoyed trips, including a visit to Tuscany, and dates around the North East of England, where King resides.
