Shirley Ballas Showcases Results of Non-Surgical Facelift, Amid Romance Rumors
The "Strictly Come Dancing" head judge reveals significant confidence boost after undergoing advanced aesthetic treatments and poses with a rumored new partner.
Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas, 66, has revealed the results of approximately £4,500 worth of non-surgical aesthetic treatments, stating she feels more confident and looks better than she did a decade ago. Ballas, preparing for her tenth year on the BBC show, underwent six NeoGen nitrogen plasma sessions at the Ouronyx clinic in central London, a procedure designed to rejuvenate the skin without surgery. This marks her fifth year of utilizing these treatments.
Ballas shared that she was previously unhappy with her skin, experiencing sagging jowls, lines, wrinkles, and age spots, often relying on heavy makeup to conceal these concerns. She also noted that she had faced criticism on social media regarding her appearance, with comments about her arms, face, and hair. She stated that the transformation has shifted the nature of online comments, with some now suggesting she has had a facelift, a claim she refutes, attributing her refreshed appearance solely to the NeoGen treatments.
"I'm going into this next series looking better than when I started and I can honestly say this is the most confident I've ever felt going into a new series," Ballas said. Dr. Maude Calveley, who administered the treatments, explained the objective was to firm the jawline and neck, even out skin tone, and clear sun damage in a way that allowed Ballas to continue filming without visible signs of the procedure.
Her rejuvenated appearance comes amid reports of a growing closeness with her 36-year-old dance student, Italian dancer Giuseppe Nonnis. The pair were recently photographed together on a dog walk. However, Nonnis's mother, Franca Nonnis, expressed surprise at the relationship rumors, stating that Shirley is Nonnis's teacher and that her son was recently heartbroken after a long-term relationship ended, suggesting he might not be ready for a new romance.
