The Pima County Sheriff's Department has released two ransom notes in connection with the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie, who disappeared from her Tucson-area home six months ago. The department is seeking the public's help to identify the writer of the notes.

Guthrie, 84, remains missing. The sheriff's office stated that the notes exhibit distinctive patterns in word choice, syntax, and phraseology, reflecting a unique linguistic style. These characteristics, they believe, may be recognizable to individuals who know or have interacted with the author.

According to the sheriff's department, the communications provide valuable insight into the writer's mindset, motives, and the evolution of their tone over time. The agency hopes that releasing these details will aid in the ongoing investigation to locate Guthrie and apprehend those responsible for her abduction.
