Shaughna Phillips recently shared an update on her weight loss journey, revealing a 25-pound reduction but expressing a sense of discouragement that the visual difference was not more apparent. The 31-year-old Love Island star documented her progress in a comparison clip showing her in the gym from February to July.
Phillips, who has been vocal about her efforts to lose weight after welcoming her children Lucia and Sofia, stated that she was hesitant to share the clip because she "didn't see much of a difference." Despite this personal feeling, she shared the update with her followers, noting the 25-pound weight loss between the two videos. She described her current fitness routine as working out three times a week consistently, while not being overly strict with her diet. Phillips mentioned that her approach to food is slowing her progress but acknowledged her desire for occasional treats, like a Mars ice cream bar.
Her partner, Billy Webb, offered support in the comments, remarking on the "big difference." In April, Phillips had reported a 9kg (approximately 20-pound) weight loss over four months, attributing it to a consistent fitness regimen of three to four gym sessions per week and a healthy, protein-based diet. At that time, she indicated she was roughly halfway to her overall goal, which she stated was to be able to care for her daughters in an emergency.
Phillips has previously spoken about her efforts to embrace her body, including showing cellulite and discussing a lipoedema flare-up. She has emphasized her commitment to fitness as a means to improve her ability to physically manage her young children. Her goals have included being able to pick up both children in an emergency and being quick enough to reach them. She also humorously mentioned being able to "choke out a man should the opportunity... arise."
In January, Phillips showcased a more significant transformation, detailing a five-and-a-half stone (approximately 77 pounds) weight loss over 14 months. This journey involved a shift in her eating habits and a consistent exercise plan. She has been open about her progress, sharing before-and-after images, and has addressed speculation that she used weight loss injections like Ozempic. Phillips has maintained that her success is due to a nutrition plan and exercise, not medication, and that her methods involved eating more throughout the day and incorporating shorter, 12-minute workouts. She has also acknowledged having loose skin as a result of her weight loss and childbirth but highlighted her improved fitness levels.
