Sharon Stone Jokingly Comments on Sydney Sweeney's Lingerie Line
The veteran actress referenced Sweeney's venture while discussing her role in "Euphoria."

Veteran actress Sharon Stone, 68, has playfully commented on Sydney Sweeney's foray into the lingerie market, drawing a parallel to their time working together on the HBO series "Euphoria."
In a video for Variety's Power of Women issue, Stone revisited some of her most iconic roles, including her turn as executive producer Patricia Lance in "Euphoria." Sweeney, 29, played Cassie Howard on the show, a role that involved significant nudity.
Stone recalled an instance where her character attempted to steer Sweeney's character away from cam work. "I tried to get Sydney Sweeney’s character to stop being a cam girl and to come and work for me on the series I was producing called L.A. Nights," Stone explained. "And she agreed to stop being a cam girl — which she didn’t do. As you can see from Sydney’s new lingerie line, it didn’t take."
Sweeney launched her lingerie brand, SYRN, in January, aiming to rival established lines like Kim Kardashian's Skims and Rihanna's Savage x Fenty. The brand offers a wide range of sizes and caters to different moods with categories like "Comfy," "Playful," "Romantic," and "Seductress."
Upon launching the brand, Sweeney stated her intention was to create intimate apparel that women wear for themselves, emphasizing comfort and versatility across different self-expressions. The line faced scrutiny for its accompanying promotional images, though Sweeney has since spoken about her goal for the brand to accommodate a "beautiful range of body types."
More recently, Sweeney has also attracted attention for her appearance in an advertisement for the sports betting app Novig. In the commercial, she poses nude, using sports equipment to maintain modesty. According to Novig founder Jacob Fortinsky, Sweeney herself opted for nudity in the campaign, citing a preference for the platform's focus on sports predictions over other platforms that allow wagers on more varied and personal topics. Fortinsky recalled Sweeney expressing discomfort with other platforms that have markets on topics like "what color underwear I’m going to wear," and finding a "clean" aspect to sports.
Sweeney holds an equity stake in Novig, and her decision to appear nude in the campaign has sparked debate, with some online commenters expressing disappointment and criticizing the sexualization of sports. One Instagram user noted the long-standing fight for female athletes and performers to be recognized for their talent and strength rather than being reduced to their bodies.
