Sharon Osbourne Recounts Final Moments With Ozzy
The widow of the Black Sabbath frontman shares the rock legend's last words and her ongoing grief.
Sharon Osbourne has shared intimate details of the final moments she spent with her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne, before his death in July 2025 at the age of 76.
Speaking in a recent interview, Osbourne recalled a night where Ozzy woke and asked for a kiss twice, which she provided. "And then he said, ‘Hold me, hold me tight,’ and I did," she shared.
Later that morning, however, a turn of events led to Sharon being called downstairs urgently, marking the end of their final moments together.
Ozzy Osbourne's death certificate listed cardiac arrest, coronary artery disease, Parkinson’s disease, and autonomic dysfunction as contributing factors. He passed away at his home in Buckinghamshire, England.
More than a year after his passing, Sharon continues to navigate her grief. "You’ve lost the love of your life, so you don’t just wake up and go, ‘I’m fine now. I’m cured,'" she stated. "You never get over it. But you learn to live with it, and that’s what I’m trying to do."
She also revealed that she visits Ozzy's grave daily. Sharon and her daughter, Kelly, find solace in the shared grief of Ozzy's fans.
"I never could have imagined it to be as helpful as it has been to know that we’re not alone in our grief and our sadness, and that the rest of the world loved him as much as we did," Kelly Osbourne added during the interview.
Sharon and Ozzy were married for over 50 years, having met in 1970 and married in 1982. They had three children together: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.
On the first anniversary of his death in July 2026, Sharon reflected on how Ozzy would want to be remembered. "As Ozzy would say, ‘When you want to remember me, just yank up the music really loud. As loud as you can get it, and just head bang,'" she told the BBC.
