Shark Vacuums See Steep Discounts During Amazon Prime Day Sale
Shoppers are taking advantage of significant price reductions on popular Shark vacuum models, with some deals reaching nearly 50% off.
Amazon's Prime Day sale is offering substantial discounts on cleaning appliances, with particular interest in Shark vacuum cleaners, some of which are seeing price cuts of up to 50%. Experts suggest that the autumn season, leading into the holiday period and the increased presence of dust and potential allergens, makes this an opportune time for consumers to upgrade their cleaning equipment.
The Shark Corded Upright Vacuum Cleaner is available for £169.95, down from its original price of £319.99. Additionally, the Shark StainForce Cordless Spot Cleaner has been reduced to £99.99 from £149.49. These deals come as cleaning professionals emphasize the importance of maintaining clean living spaces, especially with the changing seasons.
Gemma Bray, a cleaning expert and author, noted that October offers a lull in cleaning demands after the September rush of children returning to school and before the heightened activity of the holiday season. She advises using this period for a thorough clear-out and deep cleaning. Bray also highlighted the utility of vacuum attachments, such as soft brush tools for skirting boards and crevice tools for tight corners, to effectively tackle dust and cobwebs, particularly during the "spider season" of September and October when male spiders seek mates indoors.
Interior designer Ellie Brown of Oak&More echoed the sentiment, stating that as evenings shorten, clutter becomes more noticeable. She suggests that tackling clutter in October can lead to a more comfortable home environment throughout the winter and alleviate pre-holiday stress. Brown also pointed out that clearing surfaces and reassessing storage can make rooms feel larger and more relaxing.
Liam Cleverdon from Flooring King stressed the importance of clean floors for preventing slips, which are more common in deteriorating weather. He recommended regular vacuuming, even twice weekly in high-traffic areas, and more frequently for homes with pets. Cleverdon also advised starting the vacuuming process from the room's corners and working towards the center for optimal cleanliness.
Beyond Shark models, other cleaning devices are also part of the sale. Eufy's robot vacuum, which can be controlled via a smartphone app for scheduling and spot cleaning, is currently 37% off, priced at £88.82. These offers are available amidst expert advice to keep surfaces free from dust and clutter as autumn transitions into winter.
