Shanna Moakler is set to release a new memoir titled "Blink of an Eye," a title that appears to be a subtle nod to her ex-husband Travis Barker and his band Blink-182.
Moakler announced the memoir on Instagram, stating that the title reflects how "life can change, in the ‘Blink of an Eye.’" She expressed hope that her experiences and resilience will help others navigate their own challenges. The model, who is self-publishing the book, indicated it will cover her life from childhood dreams to co-parenting in the public eye.
She emphasized that the memoir is not focused on a single person or a specific period but rather aims to celebrate female bonds and share life lessons. Moakler was previously reported to be titling her memoir "Queen Risen," though that announcement has since been removed.
Moakler and Barker were married from October 2004 to February 2008, and they share two children: son Landon, 22, and daughter Alabama, 20. Barker also helped raise Moakler's eldest daughter, Atiana, from a previous relationship.
Earlier this month, Moakler drew attention for a comment she made on social media regarding Barker's current wife, Kourtney Kardashian. After footage emerged of Moakler's children attending the premiere of the documentary "Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear" with Barker and Kardashian, Moakler questioned Kardashian's children's absence from the event. While the post was later deleted, Moakler indicated that she would discuss her interactions with Kardashian in her upcoming book.
